Igloosity is the brainchild of a group of canadian students from the University of Ottawa, Université Laval and McGill University. When asked why we spent countless sleepless nights working on creating Igloosity, our answer is simple:
- First to help our fellow canadian and international students (Igloosity Nation) quickly and easily find great mentors, as well as scholarships, assistantships and fellowships in Canada without spending countless hours searching every university website or department program
- Second to help our professors, researchers, university recruiters and academics, quickly, easily and cost-effectively, find qualified Postdoctoral fellows, Masters and PhD graduate students in Canada and internationally,
- And, of course, to showcase to the rest of the world the diversity of our canadian universities and the breath of the canadian innovation and research programs. It is our way to gloat about our universities! (yep, you can too! click here to learn how).
We hope you find the site useful and welcome your feedback. We are not interested in making Igloosity a profit-driven, commercial recruiting operation. We therefore set our prices very low (starting as low as $275 per posting) simply to cover our administration costs, and the luxury of a (dorm) delivered pizza once in a while!
