Biosafety/Agronomy (MSc or PhD Graduate Student Position): A graduate student position is available in the Department of Agricultural, Food and Nutritional Science at the University of Alberta. The successful applicant would become part of a research group investigating the biosafety of genetically modified triticale. More specifically, the research will examine gene flow mediated by seed and pollen into crops and weedy species. Qualifications: Candidates should have a BSc and/or MSc degree in agriculture, biological sciences or botany, and will have demonstrated strong academic performance. Experience in field research would be an asset. Applicants who hold only a B.Sc., but have a very strong GPA, will be considered for direct enrolment into a provisional PhD program.
